Hey, hi, hello
This week has been something… On Monday I decided to commit to becoming a full-time illustrator (yikes!) and yesterday I set up my new social media accounts for it. You can follow me at @kimcandraw on Twitter and Instagram.
Between setting up my *future* and rocking anxiously in the corner, this is what I’ve been reading/watching/listening to.
What I’ve been reading
Guiltily loved The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel film (originally a book), so when I saw Heartbreak Hotel by the same author at the library, I had to add it to my book pile. A sweet, fun read for the summer.
Currently reading The Multi-Hyphen Method by Emma Gannon about how to work less, create more, and design a career that works for you.
How to Live according to Anthony Bourdain.
Most money advice is worthless when you’re poor.
An Open Letter to the Ethical Fashion Movement.
Please don’t sit on my bed in your outside clothes AKA teenage me having awkward conversations with friends.
What I’ve been watching
I tried to backpack alone and make zero waste.
This amazing live performance of Maggie Rogers singing ‘Light On’ with a houseful of people.
Something to send to the next admirer you want to reject.
I binged the first season of The Hookup Plan on Netflix last week. I couldn’t help it. Like the British show Lovesick (also on Netflix), but French.
Also watching the new season of Brooklyn 99, it’s so good!
What I’ve been listening to
Maggie Rogers album Heard it in a past life on repeat through Spotify.
