Kia ora! I’m what Emma Gannon calls a ‘multi-hypenate,’ meaning that I don’t just have ‘Illustrator’ after my name.* Instead, I have Illustrator-Designer-Bookstore Manager-Writer-Crafter and probably a couple of others. I love trying to design a life that works for me and my community, and helping others to do the same. I thrive when I get to work on different, interesting and meaningful projects. A bit about me - I’m proudly Māori and Asian, I believe that afternoon tea is mandatory, and I’m currently reading The Immortal Dinner by Penelope Hughes-Hallett.
*You can read more about being a multi-hypenate in this Vogue article with the excellent Emma Gannon (author of The Multi-hypen Method)
